Tony will deliver a presentation centred around his own lived experience of a severe gambling addiction that spanned nearly a decade. The presentation is interactive, including a psychoeducational insight into gambling & gaming addiction & finishes with a question & answer session.
Tony is the co-author of ‘Tony10’, the bestselling and award-winning book that tells the story of Tony’s gambling addiction and subsequent recovery. Tony has a unique perspective and insight into the issue of problem gambling and its impact on individuals, families, and communities.
He uses his lived experience and his professional training to advocate for more awareness, education, and support .
Tony is a fully accredited member of The Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (ACI).
We want to support the health & well-being of our members and also that of the wider community and provide a positive example in breaking the societal habit that gambling has become in both Juveniles & Adults.
Current research has shown that everyone, in particular Juveniles are at a higher risk of harmful gambling.
