Rangers got off to a blistering start, Ciaran Santry bellowing the back of the Ballinora net within thirty seconds of the throw in and converting a free moments later. But a very strong Ballinora slowly took control and at half time the visitors were ahead 1-06 to 1-05 and would have been further ahead but  for the excellent goal keeping by Ranger's Darragh Twomey in both halves. Ballinora continued to dominate the opening of the second half and were 3 points ahead when sub Ronan Hayes, scored a super goal to bring the sides level , 2-05 to 1-08 with just 6 minutes gone. But  Ballinora drove on despite Ranger's best efforts and were deserving winners , FT 2-17 to 2-08.
The first half was held up due to an injury to a Ballinora player & we wish him well.
