On Wednesday night last, the minor team played Douglas in the final group game of the non exam league. Going into the game both teams had won all of their games, so this game was to decide who went onto the semi-final of the competition. In a close game, both teams were evenly matched and there was nothing separating them at the end, with the game ending in a draw on the night on a score of 4-11 to 3-14. With a better scoring return in the group games, Carbery Rangers went through to play Carrigaline in the semi-final of the competition.

Nemo finished the half with a point to leave Ross leading at the break on a score of 2-7 to 0-7.
Within three minutes of the restart, Nemo had a point and converted a penalty to the score 2-7 to 1-8, the Ross lads then dug deep and they began to take control all over the field. A free in from Paul Hodnett was delivered to JP Eady and he made no mistake to score his second goal, this was quickly followed by points from Paul Hodnett and JP Eady. Nemo replied with a point, but on the 40th minute a super move saw Paul Hodnett score a goal and a further point from him then made it 4-9 to 1-9. Nemo weren't about the throw the towel in and by the 45th minute they had two goals of their own scored to reduce the Ross lead. Then a great move started in the Ross half back line by Paul Hodnett found Jack Kevane who scored another goal. With ten minutes remaining on the clock, Ross pushed on to dominate around the middle of the field and points from Paul Hodnett, Peadar O'Rourke who came on and made a huge contribution, Eoghan Hayes and another goal by JP Eady gave Ross a 6-13 to 3-9 lead before Nemo goaled. At that stage time was almost up and victory was sealed when Peadar O'Rourke kicked over his second and the last score of the game to give Ross a well deserved and outstanding win on a final score of 6-14 to 4-9 in a game that was end to end with both teams giving everything on the night.

Minors win Premier 2 league / Under 15 lose out to Ibane Gaels / No lotto winner / AGM on Thursday 30th / Scor News
Minor Footballers
On Monday night last the minors played Glanmire away in the premier 2 league final and after a lively and tough battle, Ross came away with a narrow victory on a final score of 1-11 to 1-10.
Glamire took an early lead 0-25 to 0-1, with the Ross point coming from the outstanding Mark Hodnett. Ross settled and further points from Mark Hodnett(2), Stephen O'Donoghue and Daragh Hayes put the Ross lads three point up. Then good work from Alan O'Rourke resulted in a brilliant goal from Mark Hodnett. At that stage Ross were well on top with the backs, Peter Og Hill in particular playing outstanding football and our midfielders well on top. Credit to Glanmire, they battled back and kicked 4 unanswered points before Mark Hodnett got his fourth point, Glanmire pulled another one back to leave Ross leading at the break on a score of 1-6 to 0-7.
If the first half was lively the second was even more so. Ross increased their lead through another Mark Hodnett point and a great John O'Brien score. Glanmire replied with two more points before Daragh Hayes got one back for Ross. Then Glanmire scored their goal to level the game, 1-9 each with 5 minutes remaining. Ross held their composure and points from Daragh Hayes and Jack O Regan gave them a hard earned victory on a final score of 1-11 to 1-10.

Ibane responded well and got three points before Ross replied through Harry Oates to leave the half time score 1-8 to 1-4 to Ibane.
A free from Harry Oates got the Ross boys off the mark in the second half. Ross played their best football for the remainder of the game, the defense giving it their all to stop the Ibane attack and points from Kelan Scannell, Harry Oates (2 frees) plus great attacking play and a terrific save from Araon O'Brien brought the score back to 1-10 to 1-8.
