Minor Footballers
On Monday night last the minors played Glanmire away in the premier 2 league final and after a lively and tough battle, Ross came away with a narrow victory on a final score of 1-11 to 1-10.

Glamire took an early lead 0-25 to 0-1, with the Ross point coming from the outstanding Mark Hodnett. Ross settled and further points from Mark Hodnett(2), Stephen O'Donoghue and Daragh Hayes put the Ross lads three point up. Then good work from Alan O'Rourke resulted in a brilliant goal from Mark Hodnett. At that stage Ross were well on top with the backs, Peter Og Hill in particular playing outstanding football and our midfielders well on top. Credit to Glanmire, they battled back and kicked 4 unanswered points before Mark Hodnett got his fourth point, Glanmire pulled another one back to leave Ross leading at the break on a score of 1-6 to 0-7.

If the first half was lively the second was even more so. Ross increased their lead through another Mark Hodnett point and a great John O'Brien score. Glanmire replied with two more points before Daragh Hayes got one back for Ross. Then Glanmire scored their goal to  level the game, 1-9 each with 5 minutes remaining. Ross held their composure and points from Daragh Hayes and Jack O Regan gave them a hard earned victory on a final score of 1-11 to 1-10.

Credit to both teams for a tough competitive and enjoyable game of football, played on a Monday night in November. Ross now play the winners of St Michaels and Na Piatsaigh in the final.

Under 15 Championship
The under 15's travelled to Barryroe last Wedneday to play Ibane Gaels in the premier 2 championship and lost out on a final score of 1-14 to 1-9.

Ibane got their first score after five minutes and Ross replied with a Harry Oates free before Ibane got their goal. Once again Harry Oates pointed from a free before Ibane got four unanswered points to give them a 1-5 to 0-2 lead. Evan Browne pointed before Jack Kevane got a great goal to bring Ross back into the game 1-5 to 1-3. Ibane responded well and got three points before Ross replied through Harry Oates to leave the half time score 1-8 to 1-4 to Ibane.

A free from Harry Oates got the Ross boys off the mark in the second half. Ross played their best football for the remainder of the game, the defense giving it their all to stop the Ibane attack and points from Kelan Scannell, Harry Oates (2 frees) plus great attacking play and a terrific save from Araon O'Brien brought the score back to 1-10 to 1-8. Ibane then pulled away scoring four points to Ross's one, again from a Harry Oates free to leave Ibane winners on a final score of 1-14 to 1-09.
