Carbery Rangers Senior footballers got the better of Ilen Rovers Saturday evening in Leap in the  Premier Senior Football Championship on a scoreline of 0-14 to 0-08.
At half time it was 6 points each and at the water break in the second half Rangers were ahead by a pt. Five unanswered points in the final quater pushed Rangers over the line at the final whistle.

Rangers play Newcestown in a crucial final group game on Sunday Sept 6th in Ballinascarthy at 2pm.

The Juniors had a convincing win over Diarmuid O Mathunas on Sunday evening in Clon, 2-14 to 0-08 in the Junior A Football Championship. At half time Rangers were 1-09 to 0-04 ahead and continued to dominate the game in the second half. The game ended with a Stephen Murray goal after a great move to get them through to the next round of the champoionship against Dohenys.

The Minors had a well deserved win in a tough battle with Valley Rovers on Wednesday last in Ardagh. Within six minutes Rangers had scored two penalties and never lost their lead throughout . At half time Rangers lead 2-04 to 0-06 and played great football to win 2-09 to 0-12.

They now play Castlehaven in their final group game in Ardagh next Wed Aug 26th at 7pm . This game will decide who tops the group, as both teams qualify from the group.

Work is continuing on our Newtown pitch and yesterday the green sod was laid on the Astroturf.  The hard work and time that has been put into this is now showing .A fantastic redevelopment which will benefit the community of Ross, we would ask you to support our Lotto which is our only source of funding within the club.
