Club News 13th August 2019 - 13/08/2019


The U14s had a great win in the opening round of the U14 Rebel Og West Division 2 Football Championship against Newcestown on Sunday last, winning 3-09 to 2-10.
Defending well and playing excellent football up front , they were deserved winners, having trailed at half time by a goal 2-03 to 1-03 and now play Naomh Abhan on Thursday 22nd in Castletownkennigh at 7pm.

There are two big championship games this weekend, both against Castlehaven.

•On this Saturday,  August 17th  the Seniors play in Skibbereen in the  Cork Senior Football Championship at 7pm against Castlehaven
•On Sunday, August 18th  the Juniors take them on in the Junior Championship also in Skibbereen at 7pm.
•The Annual U14  Tony Murphy Cup takes place this Saturday August 17th in Ardagh at 12pm, with Carbery Rangers taking on Clann Na Gael , the visitors the current cup holders.

• Congratulations to The Cork Minor Football Team who are through to the All Ireland Final against Galway in just over two weeks time after a great win over Mayo on Sunday.
Well done to our own Kelan Scannell who had a great game.

• The Cup Camp concluded last Friday and with approx 160 participants, a great week was had by all. A big thanks to Stephen Murray and his coaching team.

• As part of Rosscarbery Community Festival, Carbery Rangers ran a very successful and highly entertaining Club 7's tournament, with 4 teams consisting of minors and u16s involved , whom were coached by various coaches within the club. The Winning Team were coached by Jas O Sullivan and Paudie Hodnett and received a set of jerseys kindly sponsored by Ronan Milner of The Gaa Store.
