CORK GAA DIVISION 1 SENIOR  FOOTBALL  LEAGUE:
The Seniors put in a good performance against Valley Rovers , away on Saturday to win,  3-13 to 1-11. An early goal from Brian Hodnett gave Ross a good start and at half time were ahead at 2-06 to 1-05 , the other Ross goal coming from Mark Hodnett. A impressive performance in the second half saw them push on and win with Brian Hodnett getting another goal.

CARBERY JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE:
The Juniors had two league games in the past week ,drawing against Dunmanway and loosing to Muintir Bhaire.
On Wednesday,  they played Muintir Bhaire  in Ardagh . At half time Rangers were ahead by a point 0-05 to 0-04 but a strong second half from the visitors saw them win, full time score , Carbery Rangers 0-09 Muintir Bhaire 0-16.

On Tuesday the Juniors were away to Dohenys and at half time had a lead of 0-9 to 0-05. In the second half Dohenys goaled with the game ending in a draw , Rangers 0-13 Dohenys 1-10.

MINOR MUNSTER  FOOTBALL FINAL
Cork Minors put in a huge effort in a great game against Kerry in The Munster Minor Football Final on Saturday.  Carbery Rangers player Kelan Scanell goaled early in the first half and at half time Cork were trailing 2-06 to Kerry's 2-08. An exciting second half saw the sides level with five minutes of injury time to be played , Cork having held Kerry scoreless in the last quarter of the second half. But Kerry scored three injury time points to win 3-14 to 2-14. Well done to the players, panel and management.  Carbery Ranger's Kelan Scannell played at midfield and Barry Kerr is on the panel.

UNDERAGE  FOOTBALL:
REBEL OG WEST UNDER 14 FOOTBALL DIVISION 2 LEAGUE
On Friday the Under 14's travelled to Ballinascarthy to play Owen Gaels.  This team can be very proud of their continued improvement over the course of their league campaign and have just one game remaining in the league.
In a thrilling game,   Rangers had the lead 3-9 to 2-3, but at the final whistle it was Owen Gaels who were ahead by two points , Full Time Score, Carbery Rangers  5-12 Owen Gael 6-11.  Well done lads on a fantastic display.

REBEL OG WEST U12 DIVISION 2 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The Under 12"s put in a great team performance against Caheragh in the league on Monday evening, winning well on a scoreline of 5-24 to 5-07.

Both the Under 12 and Under 10 Footballers travelled to Bandon on Saturday morning  last .
Both teams played excellent football and well done to both teams and their coaches.

CARBERY COACHING
Carbery Rangers Gaa Club wish to extend their thanks and gratitude to Carbery Coaching Officer,  Paudie Crowley for all his hard work and dedication this year in visiting our club and our local schools , both Primary and Secondary. Since Feburary Paudie has visited our schools and club and conducted a wide variety of coaching courses ranging from fundamental movement sessions with Junior and Senior Infants to Transition Year blitzes. Paudie has provided great support to the schools,  varying from helping children improve their basic skill levels to discussing coaching ideas with managers, mentors and teachers in the schools.

OTHER NEWS
Congratulations to  Ross Ladies Football Club player Sarah Hayes, from everyone in Carbery Rangers, who played on The Cork U21 Ladies Football Team that beat Limerick in the Munster Semi-final on Friday night. Sarah was also the Captain of the team.
They now play Kerry in the final in July.
