Club News 27th February 2019 - 27/02/2019

On Friday last, the Seniors were away to Kiskeam  in the Rochestown Division One Football League.  Playing with the aid of a very strong wind, Rangers were ahead at half time 0-13 to 1-06 but it was Kiskeam who were on top at the final whistle, 2-15 to 1-15.

On Saturday afternoon,  both the Minors and Juniors were in action.
The Minors had a good  win in a tough game against Ballincollig in the Premier 1 Minor Football League. In a high scoring game,  Rangers lead at half time 2-08 to 2-05 with Araon O Brien pulling off some great saves and Daniel Mcsweeney unlucky not to goal when his shot came off the post. Ballincollig gifted Rangers a goal ,with Jack O Regan getting the other. In the second half,  Ross kicked some fine points , a feature of both halves and held on to win 3-16 to 5-08, Jack O Regan getting Rangers third goal.

The Juniors had a two point win over Goleen , 1-15 to 3-07 in the Junior Football League. Ross dominated the first half but two goals from Goleen before half time brought them back into the game and gave Ross a half time lead of three points, 1-09 to 2-03 with the goal coming from Patrick Hurley.  Goleen goaled early in the second half and with ten minutes remaining,  Rangers were two points down. But good play saw Rangers push on to win 1-15 to 3-07.

On Friday March 1st , the Seniors are away to Clon in Ahamilla at 7-30pm in the Division 1 Senior Football League.
On Saturday the 2nd,  the U 16's travel to Aghada to play them in their first game in the Premier 2 U16 Football League, at 3pm.



WELL done to all those who represented Carbery Rangers Gaa Club in the Carbery Division final of Scór na bPáistí  on Sunday last in Ballydehob.
