Juniors lose out to O'donovan Rossa after extra time \ Seniors draw in Kelleher Shield - 03/05/2017

Night at the Dogs 2017
The Carbery Rangers GAA “night at the Dogs” fundraiser will take place in Curraheen Park on Friday the 21st April 2017. Tickets are €10 each or family tickets are available for €20, this includes admission and race card as well as entry to a draw on the night.
 
 
Junior Championship
Hard luck to the Junior 1 footballers who were beaten after extra time by a single point in their first round clash against O'Donovan Ross in Castlehaven last Thursday night. Ross played with the advantage of the wind in the first half and lead at the break on a score line of 0-8 to 0-4. A goal from Mark Ronan early on the second half increased their lead, but Skibb fought back scoring two goals, and after normal time both teams were level on a score 1-11 to 2-8.

In the first period of extra time goals from Declan Hayes and Sean O'Neill gave Ross the advantage, but Skibb responded well again and by half time, the Ross lead was down to two points after playing with the wind on a score of 3-12 to 3-10. In the second half of extra time, Skibb scored three points to win by a single score, 3-13 to 3-12.

Kelleher Shield
The senior footballers played also O'Donovan Rossa on Saturday evening last in their Kelleher Shield league game in Skibbereen and after an exciting game, shared the points on a final score of 0-16 to 2-10.

Upcoming Fixtures
The under 16 footballers refixed premier league game against Bishopstown is on Thursday, April 20th in Bishopstown at 7pm and they are also in league action on April 24th against St. Finbarrs in Rosscarbery at 7.15pm. The minor footballers are down to play Glanmire on the 26th of April away in Sallybrook at 7pm. The under 14 footballers are out against St. Nicolas away in the Glen Field on April 26th at 12.30am and they are also in action on May2nd against Valley Rovers in Brinney at 7pm. Please check locally to make sure that these fixtures haven't changed.
