The weekly lotto started back again this week, Annual Tickets are available for the year or you can also play online at www.carberyrangers.ie. Annual Tickets are priced at €80 and this covers the 48 weekly draws that are held throughout the year. Your continued support is much appreciated.

We had no winner of this week's jackpot, the numbers drawn were 5, 14 and 39. Consolation prizes: €50 Michael O'Sullivan, Convent Road; €30 John Nagle, Millcove; €20 Jerry Nagle, Warren Road; €20 Dr. Dan Burke, Burgatia. Next weeks draw will take place in the Pike Bar with a jackpot of €3,400.



Glenville Cup
Hard luck to the under 21 footballers who were beaten by Valley Rovers in the Glenville cup on Sunday morning on a final score of 1-13 to 0-10.

Ross were missing a few players on the day and at half time were trailing 0-3 to 0-7. Then in the second half Valleys went 7 points clear, but the Ross lads responded well to close the gap to 3 points with only five minutes remaining. Valleys then got an excellent goal to close out the game and gave them the win on a score of 1-13 to 0-10.

West Cork Sports Awards
Congratulations to the Carbery Rangers senior football team who won the team of the year award at the West Cork Sports Awards held in the Celtic Ross hotel on Saturday night. Thanks to the Celtic Ross Hotel, The Southern Star and C103FM who are all involved in these awards and who continue to support sport in West Cork.


Scór na bPáistí
The entertaining and exciting Rosscarbery round of Scór na bPáistí was held in  Lisavaird Hall on January 22nd.Well done to all individuals and groups representing who competed on stage and all the  mentors,family and friends who  prepared and supported them. Good luck to the Carbery Rangers  and Ladies football  club teams who will go forward and compete in the West Cork Semi-final on Sunday February 5th at 2pm. James Fitzpatrick the Carbery Rangers Captain was welcomed with the Andy Scannell cup at the event. James then presented every child who participated with a scór medal.
