Minor Footballers
The minor footballers had a great win away over St. Nicks on Monday night last, July 18th on a final score of 5-12 to 1-10.
In a tough tightly fought first half Rangers went in at half time leading on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-3, with the goal coming from Paul Hodnett. The second half saw Rangers pull away from Nicks through great defensive play and excellent passing leading to some great scores. Goals from Robert Hegarty and Alan O Rouke both scored within 4 minutes of the restart gave Ross a commanding lead. But, St. Nick's got back into the game and with 9 minutes remaining the Ross lead was down to 5 points. To Ross's credit they held it together and goals from Paul Hodnett and Patrick Hurley, again through excellent team play resulted in a win on a scoreline of 5-12 to 1-8.
