Senior Footballers
Hard luck to the senior footballers who had a narrow one point defeat against Nemo Rangers in the county semi final on a score line of 1-11 to 0-13.
Ross played against the elements in the first half and went into the break trailing on a score line of 1-7 to 0-3. In the second half Ross started well and quickly reduced the lead, but were never able to draw level with Nemo. In an exciting finish to the game, Ross had a penalty claim waved away and some great defending from Nemo helped them to hold onto their single point lead at the end, final score 1-11 to 0-13.

Minor Footballers
Well done to the minor footballers who had a great win over Sam Maguires in the West Cork semi final played in Clonakilty last Wednesday night, on a final score of 5-13 to 1-7.
In a close first half a goal from Brian Calnan helped the Ross lads into a half time lead on a score of 1-7 to 0-6. Then in the second half the Sam Maguires lads started well and scored an early goal and a point, reducing the lead to a single point. Ross responded well to this and goals from John Hodnett, two from David O'Donovan and a second for Brian Calnan gave the Ross lads a comfortable win in the end. They now play Ibane Gaels in the final on Friday night in Dunmanway at 7.15pm.

Junior D
The first round of the Junior D championship was played on Friday night against Dohenys in Dunmanway. Goals in either half from Maurice Moloney and John Hodnett helped Ross to a good win on a final score of 2-16 to 0-4. They now play Barryroe in the next round.

While the under 12's had a great win over Castlehaven in the semi final of the A championship on a final score of 8-10 to 4-08. The final of this competition against Clonakilty was fixed for Tuesday October 6th.

Tá am Scór na nÓg chugainn arís. Scór na nÓg is a GAA  under 17 competition that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the fun element of Ireland’s traditional past-times. There are eight competitions that cover all aspects of Irish culture. Figure Dancing, Set dancing, Solo singing, Ballad Group, Recitation, Instrumental group, Leiriú and Quiz.
