Junior Championship
The junior footballers were beaten by Muintir Bhaire last Saturday night in Union Hall in the West Cork Championship, Ross started well and had the first score on the board, a point from Brian Hodnett. Mhuintir Bhaire then got in on the scoring to register 1-5 before midfielder Michael O'Sullivan got the second Ross point of the half to leave Ross trailing at half time on a score of 1-5 to 0-2. Second half points from John O'Rourke, James Kinston and Eoin Lane left the final score 1-9 to 0-5 in favour of Mhuintir Bhaire.

Underage Football
Well done to the under 12 A footballers who played two league games recently and winning both of them, the first win was against Gabriel Rangers on a score of 13-13 to 3-5 and the second win was against Bandon on a score of 4-10 to 2-5.
The under 12 A team have now finished playing all their league games and have qualified in the top four for the league playoff, the dates for these have not yet been fixed.

Well done to the minor footballers, who had a very convincing win over Kilbrittain in their league game played on Monday night.

We had no winner of this week's jackpot, the numbers drawn were 8, 17 and 18. Consolation prizes: €50 D Murphy, @M Forde, Waterfall; €30 V. Hodnett, Ross; €20 Kieran Calnan, Newtown. Next weeks draw will take place in the Celtic Ross Hotel with a jackpot of €3,200.
Upcoming Fixtures
Good luck to the senior footballers who are in championship action this Saturday night, August 8th against Ilen Rovers in Skibbereen at 7.30pm. Also, good luck to the under 14 footballers in the premier county final against Cobh, fixed for Monday August the 10th in Kinsale at 7.30pm.
