A first half goal from Seamus Hayes helped Carbery Rangers to victory over Castlehaven in the Kelleher Shield game played on Sunday morning in Rosscarbery, on a final score 1-15 to 1-12.

Joe O'Regan Cup
Well done to the under 10 footballers who beat Ilen Rovers in the semi final of the Joe O'Regan cup last Thursday on a score of 4-3 to 1-3. They then played hosts Castlehaven in the final on Sunday morning in Union Hall.
In an classic encounter the Ross lads lead at halftime on a score of 1-1 to 0-3, but Castlehaven responded well to score two early goals in the second half to help them into a 7 point lead. Then it was the turn of the Carbery Rangers lads, who showed great courage to fight back to a draw the game at full time. Extra time of 5 minutes a half was played, in an exciting finish to the competition, Carbery Rangers kicked the equalising point with the last play of the game. The cup was shared between the two teams, the final score was Carbery Rangers 3-06, Castlehaven 2-09. Well done to all involved

West Cork Final
Hard luck to the St. Fachtna's under 16 hurlers, who were beaten by Sam Maguires in the West Cork 'A' final in Ballinascarthy last Thursday night on a final score of 1-03 to 0-14.

Cul Camps
This years Cul Camps are running in Rosscarbery from the 4th to the 7th of August, anyone who wants to register for this, please contact Eddie Hayes on 087 2036871. Also, anyone looking to order the Cul Camp gear, please do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Under 6 and Under 8 training session's continue every Saturday mornings from 10.30am to 11.45am in the pitch in Newtown.
Upcoming Fixtures
Good luck to the Junior 1 footballers who are in championship action on Saturday night, August 1st against Muintir Bhaire in Union Hall at 7pm. Also, the under 14 premier county final against Cobh has been fixed for Monday August the 10th,  with the venue and time yet to be confirmed.
