Senior Football Championship
Well done to the senior footballers who had a good win over Clyda Rovers in Coachford last Sunday and are now into the fourth round of the senior football championship on a final score of 1-7 to 0-8.
Ross played against a strong wind in the first half and points from Seamus Hayes, Kieran Fitzpatrick and John Hayes left the Ross lads trailing at the break on a scoreline of 0-5 to 0-3. Declan Hayes and Seamus Hayes had the opening two points of the second half, then good work from Declan and John Hayes ended up with Declan finishing to the net to get the all important goal. Clyda then fought back to get a few points to level the game, but Ross responded well with points from James Fitzpatrick and Chris O'Donovan to give Ross a win on a final score of 1-7 to 0-8.

Upcoming Fixtures
Good luck to the junior B hurlers who are in championship action on this Friday night, the 22nd of May in Clonakilty against Randal Og at 7.30pm.
The under 14 footballers are in league action against Eire Og in Ovens on Saturday the 30th of May at 3pm. While the under 14 premier footballers are playing Kilshannig in championship on Saturday the 6th of June, with a venue and time yet to be decided.
While in the non exam league, Ross minor footballers play Urhan in Urhan on Friday the 29th of May and their final group game is against Eire Og in Ovens on the 2nd of June.
Please check locally to make sure that these fixtures haven't changed.
Under 6 and Under 8 training session's continue every Saturday mornings from 10.30am to 11.45am in the pitch in Newtown.
The club would like to congratulate the Mount St. Michael under 16 footballers who recently beat Bothar Bui in the Cork Colleges final.

The lotto was won again for the second time in three weeks. Congratulations to Cathal Woods, Ballinacarriga who won the club lotto with a jackpot of €1,200. The numbers drawn were 5, 7 and 12. Next weeks draw will take place in the Pike Bar, with a jackpot of €1,000.
