Senior Footballers
The senior footballers were in Kelleher Shield action on Friday night last against Newcestown in Rosscarbery. In an closely contested game, a last minute point from center back Padraig Hodnett gave Ross a one point win on a final score of 1-10 to 1-9.
Newcestown had the better of the first half and held the lead at half time on a score of 1-7 to 0-5. Ross came more into the game in the second half with a Kieran Fitzpatrick goal helping to reduce the lead. With time almost up, a well taken free from Seamus Hayes levelled the score and then in the last minute of the game, a well worked move saw Padraig Hodnett getting the winning score to give Ross a good win on 1-10 to 1-9.

Junior Footballers
The junior footballers continued with their good form against Muintir Bhaire on Sunday last in the league, winning on a final score of 4-14 to 0-8, with Sean O'Neill and Chris O'Donovan getting 2 goals each.

Underage Footballers
Well done to the under 16 footballers who had a good win over Carrigaline on Sunday in the premier league on a final score of 3-8 to 1-11. Carrigaline had a one point lead at half time on a score of 3-1 to 1-8, with Mark and John Hodnett getting the goals for Ross. While in the second half Ross got seven points to Carrigaline's three to give them a good win on final score of 3-8 to 1-11.

And hard luck to the under 12 footballers who were beaten by Argideen Rangers last Wednesday night on a final score of 3-10 to 4-3.

Upcoming Fixtures
St. Fachtna's under 16 hurlers are playing Cill Mochomog on Monday April the 27th at 7.15pm in Ardfield. And then on Thursday the 30th of April the minor hurlers are playing Kilbree also in Ardfield at 7.30pm.
While in football, the under 12 footballers are down to play Castlehaven away on Monday April the 27th at 7pm. Then on Tuesday the 28th of April, the minor footballers are playing Ibane Gaels in Rosscarbery at 7.30pm.
Please check locally to make sure that these fixtures haven't changed.
Underage Training
The final indoor training session for the Under 6 and Under 8's will be this coming Friday night April 24th, from 7pm to 8pm in the Mount Saint Michael Secondary School Sports Complex. For the remainder of the summer the Under 6 and Under 8 training session's will be outdoors on Saturday mornings from 10.30am to 11.45am in the Newtown pitch. The first outdoor session will be on Saturday morning May 2nd.

We had no winner of the weekly club lotto. The numbers drawn were 12, 19 and 33. Consolation prizes: €50 David Creedon, Burgatia; €30 Brendan Hayes, Nth Square; €20 Mike Flynn, c/o Atkins. Next weeks draw will take place in the Abbey Bar, with a jackpot of €8,000.
