Kelleher Shield

The senior footballers were back in action last Saturday in the semi final of the Kelleher Shield against Newcestown in Rosscarbery and they got back onto winning ways with a good win on a final score of 3-11 to 2-06.

Ross started well and a goal from Seamus Hayes in the first half saw them take an early lead, but Newcestown fought back well to leave the teams level at half time on a score of 1-5 each. The second half was a close affair with Ross taking control in the last 10 minutes with Seamus Hayes again doing the damage with another 2 goals, his third goal of the game coming from the penalty spot to give Ross a good win on a final score of 3-11 to 2-06.

They now meet Nemo Rangers in the final, due to be played in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday night, November the 1st at 8pm.

Hard luck to the Junior B hurlers who were beaten by Randal Óg in the West Cork Championship game played on Sunday last on a final score of 2-10 to 2-06.


Upcoming Fixtures
The senior footballers are in the kelleher Shield final against Nemo Rangers due to be played in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday night, November the 1st at 8pm.

The Junior D footballers are in the West Cork final against Dohenys on Sunday the 2nd of November in Ballinacarriga at 2.30pm.

And the under 21 hurlers are down to play Gabriel Rangers in the West Cork championship on Sunday the 9th of November in Skibbereen again at 2.30pm.


Club Officers'
Nomination forms are now available on the club website www.carberyrangers.ie, to nominate club officers' for next year. Completed forms should be sent to secretary Liam O'Shea by November the 21st.


Lotto
We had no winner of the weekly club lotto. The numbers drawn were 25, 29 and 35. Consolation prizes: €50 Pat Donovan; €30 Paul Hodnett, Burgatia; €20 Neill Gorman, Castleventry. Next weeks draw will take place in the Pike Bar with a jackpot of €3,800.
