Night at the Dogs Launch
Pictured at the recent launch of the Carbery Rangers 'Night At The Dogs', are from left Dermot Hill, Jeremy Murphy, Frank Ryan, Donal Tobin, Mick Connelly and Kevin Santry. This event is on Friday the 28th of March in the Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium. Tickets are €10, this includes admission on the night, race card and entry to draw. This promises to be a great night, tickets can be got from any club member.
The under 21, West Cork A championship game against Clonakilty fixed for last Sunday was cancelled due to an unplayable pitch in Dunmanway. This fixture has not yet been rearranged.
The under 14 footballers had a good win over Bishopstown away in the Premier 2 league last Saturday on a final score of 1-07 to 1-05. They now face Bandon at home in Rosscarbery on Sunday morning the 9th of March at 11am.
The under 16 footballers are also in action this weekend, they are down to play Bandon, this game is away in Bandon at 4pm on Saturday the 8th of March.
Sports Star of the Month
Congratulations to Brian Shanahan who received the January West Cork Sports Star of the month award along with Brian O'Driscoll in the Celtic Ross last Sunday. Both were part of the successful UCC football team that recently won the Sigerson Cup.

The Co. Cork Semi finals of Scór na bPáistí takes place in Ovens on Friday March 14th at 7pm. Best of luck to Aoife Mc Sweeney, Orla O’Gorman and Kate Creedon who are in the Ballad group competition. And also to Caolan Hayes, Colm Hayes, Darragh Calnan, Seamas O’Mahony, Mary Kate Hennessy, Kate Whelton and Ellen O’Hea who are all in the Leiriú Competition.
We had no winner of this week's jackpot; the numbers drawn were 2, 3 and 17. Consolation prizes: €50 Mathew Fitzpatrick, Mallow; €30 Clarrisa Hegarty, Ballinaspittle; €20 Mgt O' Rourke. Next weeks draw will take place in Sam's Cross with a jackpot of €3,800.
